Note: On April 15th, 2017, a massive explosion in the city of al-Rashideen in Aleppo targeted a meeting point of buses that were carrying the residents of Kafriya and al-Fu’ah coming from Idlib. The explosion claimed the lives of more than 126 people, including 68 children, and a number of relief personnel and members of the opposition’s armed factions.
In turn, pro-regime pages mentioned that the explosion happened when food was being distributed to the residents and was executed using a shell launched by the opposition’s armed forces. The latter denied responsibility and accused the regime of booby-trapping the food distribution car and exploding it amid the buses, while no other brigade or party claimed responsibility for the explosion.
It worthy mentioning that an agreement that was reached with an Qatari and Iranian mediation, stated that the residents of Kafriya and al-Fu’ah in Idlib’s countryside, which are under the control of the regime, should be evacuated in return of the evacuation of the residents of Madaya, al-Zabadani and Baqin, in Damascus’ countryside, which are under the control of the opposition’s armed factions, according to Enab Baladi.
